Alfalfa bales    

Alfalfa is cut during its gathering at a length that varies from 5 to 10 cm.
It is then dehydrated and packaged in square bales that are 110 cm wide, 80 cm high with a variable length from 120 to 240 cm.
The weight varies between 400 and 900 kg depending on the size and cutting.

Alfalfa of the I CUT

Characteristics:

  • humidity remaining on the dry substance : 10 - 12%
  • proteins s.t.q. : 14 - 16%
  • fiber s.t.q.: 27-32%

Alfalfa of the II and III CUT

Characteristics:

  • humidity remaining on the dry substance: 10 – 12 %
  • proteins s.t.q. : 15 - 17%
  • fiber :s.t.q.: 26-30%

Alfalfa of the IV and V CUT

Characteristics:

  • humidity remaining on the dry substance: 10 – 12 %
  • proteins s.t.q. : 16 - 22%
  • fiber :s.t.q.: 25-27%
